The first stage of the Senior Double Championship organised by PGA Italy, where OPISAS was present as official sponsor of the event, has been won by Baldwin Dassù and Delio Lovato on Golf Club Grado's course.
The tournament was played with a four ball formula over a distance of 27 holes, instead of the 36 holes planned due to adverse weather conditions that forced the organisation to play the second day of the tournament only over 9 holes.
After the first day of the competition the couple Baldovino Dassù – Delio Lovato were leading the rankings of the Championship. The big surprise of the first day of the tournament was the sun and the nice weather, even though the course after the heavy rains, did not favour the players who were capable of a good performance despite this drawback
The winning couple won a €2.200 prize, out of the €13.000 total prize pool, they completed the competition with 94 (-12) shots ahead of the couple Gianfranco Ripamonti/Alberto Limonta who placed themselves in second position with 98 (-8), Costantino Rocca/Mauro Bianco third with 99 (-7), Antonello Ballarin/Angelo Passamnti e Pietro Molteni/Silvano Locatelli, fourth with 101 (-5).
A Pro-Am competition was held simultaneously with the Professional Championship, two amateurs played together with two professional players. The first place went to Giuseppe Calì and Romolo Napoleoni that played together with the two amateurs Davide Cogoi and Paolo Mastromarino.
