As anticipated in a previous article, one of the most important annual events in the real estate sector worldwide will soon be held in San Diego: the REALTORS® Conference & Expo.
Let’s find out some interesting facts about the organizer of this event.
Today we’ll talk about NAR® (National Association of Realtors®): the Association of Real Estate Professionals of the United States. For several years, OPISAS has been part of this Association.
NAR® was founded on May 12, 1908 in Chicago, originally named as National Association of Real Estate Exchanges.
It is currently America’s largest trade association with 1.5 million members.
But what is a Realtor?
The word REALTOR® is a registered trademark that identifies the Real Estate Professionals who are members of NAR® and that stick to its strict Code of Ethics.
NAR®'s Code of Ethics, adopted in 1913, was one of the first codifications of ethical duties adopted by any business group. The Code ensures that consumers are served by requiring REALTORS® to cooperate with each other in furthering clients' best interests.
Since 1908, the NAR® has held its annual conference in numerous U.S cities. This year, the REALTORS® Conference & Expo will be held in San Diego, from November 12th to 15th and OPISAS will be present.
